Looe is an historic fishing town with narrow streets and a one-way traffic system. It is quite difficult to get a designated parking space in the town and we are on a waiting list.
The nearest car park is the Harbour Car Park (Bullers Quay on the Parkonomy App). It can be very busy during the day in the summer months but empties out a bit off-season and in the early morning and evening.
It is the best place to unload your luggage as it is only a 4 minute walk from the cottage. If there are no spaces available, park by the harbour barrier (on the far left as you turn into the car park) - by the Copperfish bar - and unload.
To access the cottage, you walk through the barrier (keeping the river on your right hand side) past the Copperfish bar and keep on going (past the Post Office and Pengelly's on your right hand side). You will also go past Catch Fish and Chips shop on the right hand side.
You will come to a big white one-storey block of fishing sheds on the left hand side. Walk straight past. Then there is a gap and a second big white one-storey block of fishing sheds still on the left hand side.
At the bottom of the second block, turn immediately left (Yamas Greek restaurant will be on your right hand side) and left again into Quay Street.
Quayside Cottage will be in front of you.
We are right next to the Old Sail Loft (sadly currently closed).
There is a luggage trolley underneath the stairs in the living room that you can use to help bring your luggage down.
There is a black key safe on the right hand side of the front door.
You will receive the key code by text on the morning of arrival.
For long-term parking, the Millpool Car Park (over the bridge and up to the right) is a better option. It is a 10 - 15 minute walk from the cottage. You can purchase long-term parking here.
